Here is an original WW2 1st Pattern Fibre Liner.

This type of liner features rayon suspension held to the liner by aluminium square washers. Both the rayon sweatband and nape are present. As with most fixed chinstrap liners the leather chinstrap has broken off one side, but the majority of it is still present and attached on one side, but the slide buckle is long gone.
The liner itself is in fair condition, fibre liners are quite fragile and crack easily. This liner has cracks at the front and rear and damage to the front rim. Very typical of this type of liner.
The cotton outer is in nice condition.

A Real 1st Pattern Fibre Liner.
