Here is an original WW2 M-1 Fixed Bale Helmet with a 1st Pattern St Clair Liner with a raised SC marking.
If you are an advanced M-1 collector you will understand how rare this helmet is with the raised SC marking as well as the yellow SC stamp, very few examples are known of.
The McCord fixed bale shell is numbered 272?, the paintwork and cork is perfect. The shell has no signs of any stress fractures. Both chin straps are present and are raised bar brass variant.
The liner is a 1st pattern St Clair liner with green painted interior, aluminium square washers and rayon suspension. The liner shell has 100% of its flat matt paint and there are no cracks which can be quite common with St Clair liners. The sweatband and nape strap are present and along with the suspension are very clean.
The all important fixed chin strap is present bu the leather is very fragile, the leather is half torn by one of the fixed buckles.
